Environmental Management Internship Exchange Program

As a first phase of co-operation between environmental managers in Sweden and the Baltic countries, the Swedish Association of Environmental Managers is initiating an internship program. The aim is to create an exchange of experience and knowledge that will benefit both parts.

The program is open for environmental managers, or persons in similar positions, in the Baltic states. You are invited to take part in the work at the environmental department of a Swedish company for one or two weeks. It is possible to apply for funding for travel and accommodation costs from the Swedish Association of Environmental Managers, but part of the costs must be covered by the own organisation.

Swedish Association of Environmental Managers
Swedish Association of Environmental Managers is a professional organisation for environmental managers, with the aim of developing environmental management in the Swedish industry and economy. The association was founded in February 1994. At present (Feb 2005) it has app. 300 members, which represent a broad spectrum of the Swedish commercial and industrial sector, e g engineering industry, forestry, chemistry, energy, commerce, transportation and finance. To enable the members to meet and create an exchange of experience, the association arranges meetings and conferences. Seven sub-units, each concentrating on a specific field or topic, hold separate meetings several times a year.
